Nissan Navara 2009

Nissan is clearly doing something right with the Navara: class-leading power and torque, best-in-class towing capability and it’s won 50 of its last 63 races in the South African Off-Road Championships.

Apparently that is not enough. Nissan has declared all-out war on their closest rivals by introducing mid- and entry-level double-cab models, dubbed SE and XE respectively, for full segment coverage.

Moreover, with competitive pricing and the introduction of the Navara King Cab, Nissan is going straight for the throat of the more established players in the extended-cab segment, such as Ford and Isuzu.

The King Cab models are priced between R279 900 and R320 900, and the double-cab models are priced between R293 900 for the entry-level 2.5 dCi XE 4x2 to R375 900 for the 4.0 V6 LE.

Available in 4x4 and 4x2, the new range still comes with a choice of a 2.5 dCi diesel engine and a 4.0 V6 petrol engine.

I must agree this is an awesome awesome car. But a wise person also told me that this was more just a leader in the bling department and not much else. That seem to me to totally contradict everything in this article.....Now who am i supposed to believe??
