Mitsubishi Outlander 2010

PRESS RELEASE : The Mitsubishi Outlander gets an extreme make-over!

The new Mitsubishi Outlander is a capable and aggressive all-wheel-drive vehicle.

Powered by the 2.4L DOHC 16 valve MIVEC GLS engine, it puts out 125kW of power and 226Nm of torque.
A responsive and sporty transmission (CVT with six-step Sports Mode) guarantees ultra-smooth city driving.
Further driving versatility, control and safety are assured by the electronically controlled 4WD system, offering 2WD, 4WD or 4WD Lock modes. Making the Outlander ideally suited to urban driving as well as varying road conditions.

The Mitsubishi Outlander is designed to appeal to those people with an active and busy lifestyle, and all design changes reflect accordingly.
The newly enhanced exterior features are eye catching and bold: stylish chrome finishing around the front grille, added chrome side window mouldings and a new chrome tailgate. Customers have the choice of three striking new colour choices:  Cosmic Blue Mica, Red Metallic and Solid White.

Internally, the cabin is adorned with an array of storage areas, and a family of five can easily be accommodated in the comfortable seating environment, with no shortage of leg, head or elbow room. New additions include an upper glove box with cooling and warming functionality, the instrument cluster now has back-lit dials and an LCD multi-information display that enhance visibility and ease of use.
The Rockford Fosgate premium audio system is another new addition and comes complete with a six-disc MP3-compatible CD changer, with nine surround sound speakers, including a powerful subwoofer in the luggage compartment.

A first for Mitsubishi is the new standard adaptive front lighting system (AFS), which is a headlamp orientation control system that takes into account both steering angle and vehicle speed to orient the headlamps to an angle that provides better night-time visibility.
AFS provides a wider range of visibility during cornering, the illumination of a gaze point of up to 300% of that offered by conventional fixed headlamps, with visible distance increased by some 35%.
Additional safety features include: six airbags, along with Active Stability Control (ASC) and ABS brakes with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD).
EBD varies the braking power between the front and rear wheels according to vehicle load, assisting in emergency braking, to bring the vehicle under control and in a straight line.

Additional features include rear-parking sensors, keyless operating system and start function, cruise control, full automatic climate control, multi-function steering wheel, full leather interior, an electric tilt-and-slide glass sunroof, integrated roof rails and the privacy glass for the rear windows.

The Mitsubishi Outlander is priced at R381 000 including VAT and comes with a 3 year 100 000 km warranty and a service plan of 3 year/60 000 km with service intervals at 15 000 km.

The Outlander if one of the best crossover vehicles I've seen from Mitsubishi. The Mitsubishi Truck Parts inside and outside the vehicle is measured and engineered precisely to make it conform with today's SUV standards.
