I drive a 2009 Hilux Double Cab 3.0D – 4D 4 X 4 with many additionals and at present I am using B.F. Goodrich 265 X 75 X R16 AT’s. Have any tests have been run to determine Stopping Distances on various surfaces? How about tyre noise on tar? And tyre wear?
Is the Stopping Distance really much greater on tar between AT & MT Tyres? Which brand of tyres stand out from the rest?
I am in my 60’s, but fortunately we are both still very fit & healthy and really enjoy taking the “Road Less Travelled” to places we otherwise would never see. We mostly travel on our own, so good reliable tyres are not an expense but an absolute necessity.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Derek
