Damaraland is synonymous with rugged mountains, extinct volcanoes, open plains and riverbeds, but it is also the hiding place of the elusive desert elephant and the rare black rhino. On top of that, the region’s well-known geological beacons such as the Spitskoppe and Brandberg are among the most recognisable landmarks in Namibia.
