Sports in the Soutpansberg
See video

A few weekends ago, Albertus van Wyk, the owner of LA Sport in Centurion, Herman Timmerman and a few friends and family went to the Soutpansberg for a few days. With their arrival in Louis Trichard on Friday morning, it was already raining cats and dogs, and it continued for the rest of the weekend.
It was difficult to camp in the rain, but the off-roading was fun. Luckily, Albertus had his videocamera handy to record some of the obstacles on the first day.

"The last time I was in the Soutpansberg was in primary school and I'd forgotten how unbelievably beautiful it is. It's untouched and sub-tropical - there are even a few rainforests here," says Ali. "It's just like I remember it in the sense that there aren't a lot of tourists here. It's just you, the amazing natural environment and the friendly Vendas who live here."
