Win with Camp Master

The big chill

A camp fridge could cost you dearly, especially if you don’t buy the right one first time. CAMP MASTER’s range of affordable options will keep their cool in the worst heat – yes, even in the middle of nowhere.

A cool bag is fine if you’re going to watch the Cobras take on the Lions in a day-night cricket match, but if you’re serious about off-roading and love a good steak and a cold beer at the end of a hot day out, you’d better invest in decent cooling equipment.

CAMP MASTER’s durable range includes compressor fridges and thermo-electric coolers. Large models are powered by the tried-and-trusted Danfoss compressor, which has a three-year guarantee.

Compressor fridges are popular because they work efficiently even when standing on uneven surfaces.

And importantly, you can freeze meat in them. So it’s not an issue if you’re planning on hitting the road to Mozambique, Namibia or Botswana during the summer when it’s the first thing you need to pack after digging out your passport.
Thermo-electric coolers are dependent on the ambient temperature.

Compressor fridges, on the other hand, allow you to set the cooling temperature.
Chilling all cold stuffs before packing will ensure meat and other freezer items are frozen solid.

Also keep your camp fridge out of direct sunlight.

And take an extra cool box along and unpack drinks regularly so you don’t have to open and close the camp fridge all the time.

I had just started a relationship with a wonderful woman and decided to impress her by inviting her to come trout fishing with me to a romantic spot in the country.

I packed very carefully...chairs, lovely picnic, well-chilled wine, fishing rods, flyfishing vest......and off went.

When we got to our destination I discovered that I had left my fishing bag behind with essential reel, line and flies.

It was however a magic day which we still remember with a laugh.

My tip on how not to forget anything..............don't take a new wonderful girlfriend on a fishing trip.
