DIY | Packing systems

He spent hours planning a packing system for his 2001 Nissan Patrol, says JG Shields of Pretoria. Nevertheless, he regards the system as only a prototype that still needs much refinement.

Most people tend to take too much unnecessary stuff along on holiday. This habit normally leads to disorder, frustration, family feuds and stiff muscles.
Because I prefer order and neatness, I wanted a packing system in my vehicle.
It especially helps me to:

  • Assess at a glance what I have and what I need;
  • Easily take out and repack anything I want to use;
  • Take along fewer unnecessary items. I also have far more reason for saying, “Sorry, there’s no space for that.”
