Bush smoothie

BUSH SMOOTHIE

When, after two weeks, you are tired of last night’s lamb chops for breakfast, it’s time to dig into your supply of tinned food and rustle up this liquid breakfast.

You need (for 6 servings):
• 1 x 410 g tin fruit cocktail with syrup
• 1 x 440 g tin pineapple puree with syrup
• 3 bananas, sliced
• 1 cup mini marshmallows
• 1 x 90 g packet instant guava pudding (only use the powder)
• 3 cups orange juice

Get cracking:

1. Bag it.
Place all the ingredients in a large Ziploc bag, ensure all the air is out and seal it.

2. Feeling the pressure?
Carefully squeeze the bag until all ingredients are mashed and well mixed.

3. Everything’s cool.
Put the bag in your camp fridge for half an hour before serving.
It’s so thick it can be eaten with a spoon.

Variation:
You can use fresh fruit instead of tinned fruit, but it may not be sweet enough. In that case, replace the orange juice with a sweeter juice such as mango.
You can also add ice cream or yoghurt to it.
