Boarding school pudding

Many kids grew up with this pudding, especially those who attended boarding school. Many variations exist − you can use different biscuits or sprinkle nuts over it. The recipe is a blank canvass on which you can start creating your own ideas.
You need (for 8 portions):
- 1 x 500 ml container long-life custard
- 1 x 200 g pack Marie biscuits
- ½ cup apricot jam or Treat caramel condensed milk
- chocolate sticks or crumbed chocolate for decoration
Get cracking:
- Heat the custard in a small saucepan until very hot.
- Join the biscuits in pairs with the apricot jam or condensed milk and place in a flat dish that is large enough for two or three rows of biscuits.
- You can also pack it in individual dishes.
- Pour the hot custard over the first layer of biscuits, pack another layer of biscuits on it and pour over the rest of the custard.
- Let the pudding stand for about half an hour to allow the biscuits to go soft before serving.
- Decorate with chocolate sticks or crumbed chocolate.
