Now and then a driver overestimates his abilities or that of his wheels. This then is what happens...

The Durbanville Agricultural Society hosts an annual 4x4 day in September-October during which participants drive a route of some 40 km across wine and wheat farms in the Durbanville area. More than 100 vehicles participated last year.
As it is more of a family day than a hardcore 4x4 trail, some participants – such as these two guys in the Disco – were looking for a little added excitement.
The actual route is on the farm road, left past the mud pool, but they decided the shallow mud pool on the field looked like a nice playground that was just too good to drive past. Little did they know this pool should be handled with kid gloves.
Fortunately, this irrigation tractor (and some amused bystanders) was at hand to pull them out of the pool.
This happened to Theo Coetzee from Bellville.
