A unique wilderness experience in the Kruger Park, designed to bring you as close as possible to the different wilderness areas without jeopardising the delicate eco balance. The 71 km Malopeni Eco Trail starts at the Phalaborwa gate and runs northeast to the Letaba River. A maximum of five vehicles with four passengers each are allowed and every group is accompanied by a Sanparks guide.
The trail: 
Although a 4x4 is recommended, 4x2s with a high ground clearance are allowed.
Accommodation: 
You sleep in the veld for the night.
Camping: 
Malopeni is a self-catering trail and you must take along your own camping gear, food, water and firewood.
What else: 
Off-road trailers and off-road caravans are allowed.
